Hello.
Hoping I can get some answers here as I posted this on another lancer forum and not one of the 190 people knew how much stuff is, maybe my fault but who knows? So I thought I would see if this friendlier place will help. Heres the story...
Well after visiting NR Motorsport s this morn, it makes me wish I had a ramp lift and Nick with me when I bought my IV at the end of last year. A peculiar backward slanting front cross member which looks like it took a hit from the front at some point, and confirmation of the rear chassis rails bubbling up thought the whatever it is that suppose to oppress rust, and a few other things I sharnt bore you with, makes not for good news. Win some loose some.
However he also found a few nice bits out which could soften the blow. Clearly im looking into breaking this, as the shell is turning too, that I could have lived with. So how much would these bits fetch?
Says 75,000 odd on odo but cant guarantee this.
Engine- IV Head, either VII or VIII short block, V or VI injectors, HKS 272 cams.
Turbo- Recon IX turbo, receipt for circa £1000 from Turbo Dynamics 2013.
Running Gear- IV gearbox and transfer box, RS diff.
Interior- VI Recaro's front and back.
Exhaust- 1x unknown 3" stainless system, 1x Trust power extreme, elbow too, uprated mani.
AVCR, V onward ECU, has been mapped to 353bhp, VI OZ 17" with brand new goodyear eagles, braided brake lines.
Think thats the main items, thank you.
Also would there be much interest in someone to buy the car for parts to break or better off breaking it myself? Im open to suggestions.
