Hi all. Back into Evo ownership and checking out this forum. Recently got myself a X fq300 gsr manual. Orient red (DKR).
In the Stirling area. Had the car a few weeks... Already had a dodgy fuel relay, was running bad on WOT, now an exhaust gasket is gone, think between the manifold/ turbo...possibly a result of running with a dodgy relay when I got it?
Garage are loving me. Seems they don't know much about Evo's but are trying hard at least. 1st gear torque limiter seems a pain, also through the gears seems just as soon as the boost comes on it eases off again (before the blown gasket),not like an VIII I had before, it felt much more enthusiastic about getting you towards illegal speeds. Then goading you to go faster. X seems much more refined, not as on/off and handles better, but is a bit slow in comparison.
Planning a map and panel filter to liven it up initially.
