Hi I hope you guys don't mind me joining as I dont have an Evo YET lol.
I'm just looking for some advice really, so I thought where else than on here with you guys. I currently own a focus ST, which I do adore and have spent abit of money on mods but im now getting use to its speed and looking to upgrade once again haha. I've done a fair bit of research on the Evo's and i've always wanted one. As far as im aware the running costs will be near around the same as my ST anyway but I may be wrong. Also Ive noticed the Evo 7 and 8 really vary in price and was wondering what price would be a good car and what prices are to low and should stay away from. And last of all what Should I be checking for when shopping around for one of these.

Welcome along pal and good choice. Price wise not too sure as they all vary so much because of modifications ect. As for servicing yh your right price wise it's going to be similar it's just the ayc and diff service that will be extra. And if you do it yourself it's even cheaper.

Running costs vary on how much you can repair/replace yourself? If like me you own a Garage & MOT station then its alot cheaper hehe

That said..... my evo failed its MOT today.... So benefits of owning a MOT station arent always that apparent.... boohoo

Thats okay then my old man is a mechanic so that's the servicing issue sorted hopefully haha. Do they go wrong alot? or is it just pot luck and how you drive the car. I'm looking to spend about 7.500 to 10,000 is that reasonable? They vary so much in price im never sure if its a good buy or not ha. aww unlucky not good, hopefully you get it sorted pretty soon!

Never seen him around boston lol. Just gotta find myself an evo I like now. Ahh choices choices. Problem with living in boston is everything is far away!

Wecome mate. As you can see not been on here long but have been made to feel very welcome and got my fisrt evo only last wk. I paid 7500 for a 2006 with a few mods low miles and fsh. Depends on how new u wanna go buddy.
