Hi all av just joined.

Am looking at buying an evo 5 am just wondering wot things a should be looking for ie wot thing's are likely to go wrong, also am wonder'n on running costs how much dose it cost to service them and how often do they need service'n?

your in the same boat as me, i am lookig into buying an evo, had my heart set on a 6 but now thanks to the advise on this forum i am now looking at anything between a 4,5 and 6, these guys no there stuff,

from wot i have been told oil change and spark plugs every 3K miles, diff oils and HT leads every year, and obv the usuall stuff,

im so looking forward to buying my first evo, wot do u have at the moment? i have a JDM integra type R,

choosing an evo for your first jap car is a huge move, great choice but buddy

When your buying make sure everything is working. AYC can be problematic on some cars. Other than that its Breaks, Clutch, smoke and service history. The same as any high performance turbo car.

Servicing it every 4500 miles and varies from oil and filters to everything under the sun needing changing.
