advice and tips on cambelt change?!

hey guys, cant see a cambelt guide on here so ill simply ask!

got a gates blue racing belt and tensioners for my evo 4
when my mate ross has the time id like him to fit the kit, he is a Nissan mechanic and a very good mechanic in general, he's never touched an evo though!

firstly does anyone have a pic of the 4g63 with both parts of the cam cover removed so I can see what we're facing?

secondly, I have a balance shaft remove kit on mine, will this change anything? I have a small belt for the balance shafts in my kit, I don't know if ill need it?

what does it look like with the shaft delete kit? or does it look the same cos its simply an internal job?

finally can anyone tell me the proper factory torque setting for the tensioners so my belt is not too tight or too loose?!

also any other valuable tips in general for fitting the belt?

If your balance shaft has been deleted you simply won't have a belt so don't worry about the one in your kit, it's quite straight forward especially if he is a top techy like you say. Hydraulics tensioner will need removing and resetting, timing marks are on the cam sprockets and down on crank, no wired and wonderful tools needed just good old fashioned cable ties to hold the belt. Your biggest annoyance will be access, it's tight to say the least

Make sure the oil pump is lined up in balance. It's easy to miss the sweet spot if you don't know.

It can look lined up but you'll get a bad vibration if it's not set right.

excellent, thanks people, great advice, my pal ross should be okay he may not have touched an evo yet but he worked for alfa fiat for a good few years and did lots of v6 cambelts and 20v 5 cylinder belts, now he's been at Nissan for at least 3 years I think and he's done lots of 350 and 370z's etc!
ill ask ross if he can look at this site and these threads too!

the oil pump/balancer can be 360 degrees out, so keep an eye out
