abs sensor polarity conscious ?

Hi, if anyone can help i would be very grateful. I have to replace my abs sensor but i have seen that the previous owner must have had to do a change as he has spliced the wires and just twisted and taped cables. On the old abs wire it had a green to green and white to white. But the new sensor has brown and black. Does it matter which way round i connect these wires ?

I had a similar problem with my 8! But I got an original plug from a breakers and soldiered/heat shrunk that onto my loom! Then the new abs sensor plugged in!

the abs sensor has a plug! no need to cut or spliced wires.. :shock::shock:

On my 8, yes it does! It was missing on the faulty side, but present on all the others!

Yes it should have but previous owner has cut, twisted and taped (rough) just wondered if it was polarity concious as they are expensive to cut im gonna put plug on feed end.
