ABS fault (Need help)

evo 5 gsr

ABS light on
Evo scan reads: Left rear sensor, open circuit
Fitted new sensor from Rosssport
Light still on, if i clear it with evo scan and read it straight away it re-appears without even driving it

tested wiring plug under car to sensor and seems to be fine
Also checked and im getting about 4.9 volts which is the same as the right rear sensor on one of the wires

any help greatly appreciated as its now gettin annoying..

Forgot to mention not getting an ayc light on ?

I had this on mine! Turned out to be an Earth fault! make sure all wires and contact plugs are immaculately lean mate!

Where abouts did you find the bad earth ?

Unplugged abs ecu today to check the resistances from each sensor as per workshop manual

Couldn't get any resistances from the pins that the speed sensors were supposed to be

But since unplugging the abs ecu the abs light has gone away ??

Since driving for a few days unplugging the abs ecu and refitting had sorted the fault.
Don't know why but it's sorted.
