Started the evolution lV last night and it just started cutting out once it got to about 3000 rpm and if you left it it just cut out but after about five mins of trying it all cleared and worked fine is it anything to worry about ? Cheers

You want to check your fuel pump mate, might be weak or not kickin in properly

+1 and also make sure there are no restrictions in the fuel line, i had this problem before on my fuel return pipe.

Also it sounded like it was not running on all cylinder s and just conked out could it be the plugs ?

Have you washed the engine? What cylinder is it off? Take the spark plug cover off and remove the spark plugs and see what condition they are in and when out take a look down with a torch and see how the pistons look. Has your evo been over fuelling? You still running standard injectors? Check you spark plugs and make sure they are gapped correctly at 0.70-0.80mm and are NGK. Denso tends to through the spark at high revs.
