A few questions

Hi Im new, Im looking at evos and will have around 14-15k to spend around November if all goes to plan,

Do you think I Could get a nice 9 for that sort of money, I have been looking and they vary so much in costs,

Also does anyone here use theirs as a daily driver, i drive around 22 miles a day, country roads, How reliable are they,

You should get a decent spec 9 for that money, and yes they are as reliable as any other car as long as you service them at the correct intervals.

The 9 has the mivec engine and slight cosmetic changes to the front and rear bumpers

That is one seriously nice looking car, Love the colour, seeing them make me want one more lol, Stunning.

I was looking at a possible bmw 335 which I like. and maybe would of had to get a few more penny's together, but always wanted an evo, and now I mileage is not a problem would love to own one, never even been on one,

I have seen alot for sale mapped to 400 400,

Are they still reliable with these maps on?

Is it true the 320 340 and 360 map the same?

What the heck is added pops and bangs, I have seen this on alot of the cars for sale,

320/340/360 are the different power levels. Most of it is just mapping although I'm sure the 360 has an uprated fuel pump.

400/400 is a perfect place to be power wise. It's the one place you can get to without having to pull the engine apart and probably the most trouble free place to be. And will take all the stick you can give it.

Evos in general are good well made cars just require good regular servicing !

The engine itself is the same most other evos however the do have thicker rods so are able the 400 power safely
The head and cams is what differs them from earlier evos. It has a mivec system which is variable inlet cam timing. Aids faster turbo spool and overall response

So is it a mild antilag? the ones I have seen for sale with this can it be removed? Dies it akways do that when driving around with it like that??
