ok i had this problem for the last 1500miles
started when i brought the car took it home next day went to start started fine but couldnt get it in any gear after about 10 secs it went into gear

i then drove it from uk to germany and driving it around 50km aday since
its been like that since then

around 100 miles ago i had a service my mitsubishi all and only oils replaced still same problem and its only when i first start driving doesnt matter what time of the day

i hope it aint the clutch but looking though service history from 2005 till now its never been done and (around 50000 miles (the history is full minus 2011 when he sold it on and he even got reciepts for change light bulbs so lol)

no play in clutch pedal as far as i know

no slipping

pulls fine

done a stall test all fine

even went a bit harder pressed the brake pedal and acclorater at same time for 10 sec still no slipping ???

sorri for the essay i thought i would put as much in as i can to make it easyier

Could possibly be the release bearing in the gear box or slave cylinder. :)

I would get it along to a garage before you start throwing money at parts, I have done this many times and bought and replaced parts that didn't need doing because I was goin by speculation, pull your slave cylinder by hand it will be tough but do able if it goes back to place relatively trouble free I would say its fine, did all the gearbox oils get changed on the service? I would be tempted to drop the gear oil and check for any swarf, possibly release bearing but not usually a common problem

Try bleeding the clutch actually before anything else, may have some air trapped

Ok gonna find a garage today and get the clutch drained cheapest method clutch doesn't look like its leaking anything out been full since I had it also pedal goes to the floor but a lot of force to push the pedal back up also it's got a very high biting point
Cheers

Might need some adjustment on the clutch pedal, the adjuster is just at the top of the pedal not sure which way is which though, bite should be around half way or just over

I know I think some time with a punch bag will make it better whats even better here in Germany every garage apart from 1 Mitsubishi garage refuse to touch it even to do the brakes lmao they all so nope not touching it go MIT and out of the 3 MIT garages here only 1 say that they are willing due to not having the right trained people lmao good times all round lucky I get tax free here lol so -19% of total
List of things so far
Clutch
Timing belt
Brakes
Tyres need doing and all = poorly wallet and angry wife hahha

remember,i have a flywheel thats hardly used and a throwout earing..dhl will deliver it the next day to you or the garage thats doing the swap.
.
here are some part numbers, oem and aftermarket.

edit: Slave cylinder is MD 748617

crossreference aftermarket part number (Herth+Buss JaKoparts ) : J2605039

Would cost around 70 euros incl mwst.

OEM clutch disc : MD749921 (epc shows no price, sorry)

aftermarket : Sachs nr:1878 600 918 (180 euro for the disc)

so those would be the bits you will need

Do not buy the "fast road clutch" off ebay..the one with the red/orange/green cover..absolute shite and will last 3000 miles.

pm me if you need any more info or help.

Smaller garages are closed on easter saturday too.

Have you checked the slave cylinder? is it wet/weeping around the rubber bit? squeeze the rubber it and see if brake fluid leaks out.(eye protection, dont want that squirting in your eyes)
