hello there my name is samir, was going to introduce myself but first having some problems. my mum wants to be insured on the evo 8 however she is getting prices above £1500, with no claims bonus of 15 years. and the insurers that are giving her quotes are asking when you phone them up what are your previous cars. she says type r and golf gti, they reply not enough experience we can't insure you. its totally ridiculous, can anybody shed some light on this matter?

I dont think its discrimination or victimisation. Insurance is all about the risk and the statistics say that that post code is a certain risk and they feel that risk is too great.
£1500 possibly isnt that far off. It does seem a bit high for a 40 year old woman but on the other hand insurance prices have rocketed recently.
Only thing to do is try all the specialists im afraid...

all insurance companies have increased by average 30% compared to last yr. high risk area are particularly hit, these area is based on the first part of your postcode. This is unfair in my opinion.
I live in area L21-it cover a very large area with only 1 part is not too good because of that we all come under high risk:mad:
