Hi guys so I have recently purchased my first evo. it is a 1997 evo 4 gsr. Well so I have been told. Imported in 2013 on v5 all it has is mitsubishi, 1997 1998cc blue in colour.
Got this cheap and saw potential in the car. It has many problems and I would appreciate some advice on parts to buy and what to do to it.
So first off it needs a clutch, I gave my reg to a garage and they can only find it coming up as a 1.8 litre.
I have seen clutches on eBay claiming they will fit a 4 but I'm unsure of the size of the standard clutch in it.
I did read that a newer evo clutch and flywheel could fit in.
Next I would like help on its standard bhp. Been told they come as 220 or 280 bhp is this true and if so how do you know which you have without rolling road test.
Finally I would like to put some mods on and boost up the bhp so the best parts to do so would be grateful.
What iv done so far to car, fitted cusco coilovers, HKS induction kit and HKS full exhaust system.
