Ordered black ones. Should be here Friday. Couple of coats of poor boys wheel sealant then hopefully enough day light to get them fitted. :D

Did consider it. I've just put three coats of poor boys on so hope they'll be ok ATM. Keen to get them on!!

we had a bit but all gone now. mainly east cost got it

Mostly gone here now too. :D

Nice, what width of wheel is it? 225 isn't usually recommended for a 7/8/9

9 inch mate.

Why not mate?

I hate wide tyres

+1

There's a reason why the standard tire fitment on the 7/8/9 is 235. You won't get as much grip or predictable steering with narrower tires. Now i've seen what happens to stretched tires on evo's from the yank forums, i won't ever go for that look :wtf:

My old 6 used to wheel spin all the time on 225's :( I'm running 245's on 8.5" wheels but i want wider. Looking to run 265's on 9" wheels soon :D

Do you not find wide tyres give a horrible ride on bad roads?

Well I was recommended 225. Good job I stick to the speed limit and don't race my Evo eh.

My car has 50mm suspension travel and my exhaust drowns out everything, so no lol :whistling::awesome: But it goes round corners faster than most evo's.

I've got the stretched look on mine, and I've never had a problem with them, apart from when I needed tracking doing, cos it wasn't done the tyres wore out pretty quickly lol, but apart from that they were brilliant. :)

Just out of interest what make are the tyres Lee?

goodyear f1 asymetrics mate.
they would rub the lip of the arch on your car as they would have done on when i had the wheels on my VII
same size, 255/35/18 michelin pilot sports or the squishy toyo t1r will fit without issue as the arnt so generous with the rubber :)
