evo 4 info please ?

hey guys ive seen an evo 4 for sale just been mot'd and taxed ,its totaly standered !! however what i wanna know is couple of things ive got about £1k to spend on it what things can i get to make it alittle quicker and what will fit ??

m also after a wategate - are they hard to fit ? what sort can i get ?

hi first thing would be an exhaust system ebay around £300 , mushroom filter or simular tweak the boost slightly , on from there bin the ecu go for either e5 or e6 ecu plus injectors , uprated fuel pump should see you good for 320bhp

ive been talking to the bloke and he says its had this done to it already -

very powerful 4 wheel drive 4.4 sec 0 to 60 AYC system allows increased control at high speed and monitors g force Hks dump valve hks exhaust oz lightweight alloy wheels with brand new Avon tyres put on 8 days ago Boost gauge, recaro seats, intercooler spray to keep intercooler cool hks induction filter exedy sports double plate ceramic clutch mot done 22nd jan road tax 4 days ago for 6 months big spoiler pia fog lights spliter in bottom bumper it's the range model uprated ralliart brakes from japan hks downpipe much more to list that's just off the top of my head climate control

i'd try and find a 5 mate and put the grand to it, it would pay in the long run.
just because its just had t&t put on it dont mean it aint got crank walk or going to get it and end up with an engine rebuild cost on top after you've spent ya pennies on upgrades

ell thats not standard really is it ???? sounds like it would be ecu ugrade along with injectors tweek boost etc

i thought it was standard untill he sent me that list - so your saying get an ecu upgrade ? from where or who u recommend ?

injectors - from where what sort ?

what about - HIGH FLOW 255 FUEL PUMP ??

that fuel pump would be fine there are traders on here who will sort you out on ecu and injectors as you cant mapp the e4 ecu i run an apexi power fc in mine with e6 560cc injectors

Easiest and probably cheapest way would be evo 5/6 ecu and injectors, 255 fuel pump and a remap.

4.4 seconds 0-60 I'll be honest for a 4 engine I think it's maxed to an inch of its life without strengthening the engine and components. How about a bigger turbo wack one of those on with better ic and like already said make sure fuel pump and injectors have been changed

Does I have to be a 4 cos I would say grab a 5 and mod that you will get more out of it as it is stage 1 should see it just over mid 300's

All 4 gsr's have ayc?
Standard 0-60 is claimed to be 4.4 with them so thats just a copy straight from tinterweb.
There really is no need to uprate the turbo on a standard 4 engine unless your trying to blow her up either.

im not looking to blow her up but would like to run her to protential thats y i come on here to see what people recommend i can get the car and have 1k to play with for bits to either make her more reliable or even quicker i dnt know u see im a proper noob to the evo's

Jacko post up the advert if you have a link.... But with all those extras sounds like hes trying to have you on a little. Over selling it a little maybe. Especially if you are a complete noob to evo's. Have you had any sort of experience with a turbo car? Maybe ask for someone nearby to come have a look with you...
