Hi,

99% sure i will pick up the Evo 9 FQ 340 next week :) providing the company give me roughly what they quoted me for EP3 Type R on part exchange.

i have been looking on several posts before i joined and this site just seemed to be full of people who can advise and help on practically anything Evo related.

Just a meet and greet post really so should i pick it up next week then i will get some pictures posted up.

Look forward to speaking to you all.

Jack :)

Welcome buddy from a fellow 9 owner also based in Nottingham.

Good luck with the purchase and makes sure you give the car a good once over. Follow the buyers guide on here and donr be tempted to buy the first one unless its solid as usually expensive when thinks go wrong.

Thanks for the advice folks.

well it's the Evo at Graham Walker Ltd. I was worried at first but if anyone had any information regarding the car that would be beneficial then i am all ears.

Regarding the price i think it seems fair (for a dealership). Black, 07 plate, 19,000 miles, FMSH with 8 stamps currently. really nice conditon etc etc

i am hoping to part ex my EP3 Type R against it and i have the funds available so i am hoping to seal the deal on Monday (hopefully no-one snaps it up between now and then)

Invisibile, god to see a local guy on here, any good specialists near us? so far i have only been recommended CPP in Sandbach so far?

Thanks

WK Auto Solutions in Long Eaton mate come very highly recommended although not been to see Wayne Yet.

He has experience of EVOs including stripping down and rebuilding his own.

Also NR Autosport in Lincoln are EVO performance specialists.

I have used Tuna Motorspors in Keyworth for servicing. Chris and Paul are great guys but they moving away from the mod scene now and just focussing on standard servicing and MOTs

Just depends on your plans if you want to keep standard or mod. If mod I recommend guys above - WK Autos or NR.

If keep standard There is a mitsi garage in Notts if ou want to maintain MFSH but personally i'd go to the specialist.

Good luck and may see you around. You can show me a clean pair of heels :)

PS - I like the black rims :)

Thanks Invisible,

Well i think i will keep it in standard form for a while, learn how to drive it properly first :)

Yes i have heard of Wayne through a firend, i believe he is the guy with an Evo 8 engined 205!!

well the cars has FMSH, do you think me going to a specialist as opposed to Mitsubishi could have an impact on the resale value?

is your car standard then mate?

Jack

It wont go against you or the resell value if it is not serviced by mitsi. What's more important is that it is serviced regularly, at the recommended intervals by a reputable company.

So WKA will be fine and often these specialist know more about the cars than the manufacturrs do!

Yep i hear Wayne has done a few interesting build. He had a 600bhp EVO Vi of his own I think. I will pop down and see him soon when I get a chance.

Nothing wrong with keeping your car standard and I would suggest that is sensible at first anyway. To be honest, standard EVO's are a bit or a rare thing!

Mine's not standard, has one or two mods but nothing major :)
