Need help with evo 6 wiring

I am swapping an evo 6 engine into my 4 body, as my 4 engine spun a bearing. I bought an evo 6 engine that had the full engine harness but not the body harness, like it cut after the fuse box. I decided to splice in the evo 6 fuse box into my body harness. All of the coloring was the same and they went to the same fuses except for 2 wires. I have already traced these to the ecu side but since they are not in the 4 I cannot trace them back to the interior fuse box which I assume they go. Is anyone able to tell me what these wires go to so I can jump them?

My other issue is this plug in near the coil packs. It was like this when I bought it, I assume there is some relay or something fitted under it. I took a picture of the plug and where it looks like it is fitted to, there is a bracket under it. This plug is totally different than what is on my 4 harness.

Why in gods name are you doing it that way.?? its a 4,not a 6..using a 4 ecu in a four body,the engine is a drop in replacement.

dunno if they changed the fuel pump relay setup,not sure.

do yo have all the important bits connected?

should have removed the harness from the 6 engine, and reused the harness that is on the car.

I used the 6 fuel injector relay/resistor pack. All of that stuff is hooked up except :
water temp sensor(where are these)?
the o2 sensor after housing, I can't seem to locate the plug on the harness, which makes me believe these 2 wires are for that, now that you mention it. The issue is that the o2 sensor for the 4 in this spot was on the engine harness, but it could have changed.


I realize now I did it the hard way. I thought I needed to use the 6 sensors, but its too late now. I will also have to change ecu pinouts or get a 6 ecu correct?

Do you have any idea what the second plug goes to? It has 4 wires going into it. The equivalent on my 4 harness only had 2, but I cant locate where it went to.

Why didn't you just replace the block and swap your ancillaries over? Would have been much easier. Plus the looms are almost identical.

Wish I wouldn't have done it the way I did, but its too late now, do you have any ideas on these wires or the plug?

That plug is for the lamda sensor that goes in the turbo elbow just before the downpipe

Good to know. The sensors were changed from 4 to 6. My sensor from the 4 just has 2 wires to these 4. So, do I need this sensor to run or will it just throw codes and be fine?

Does that mean the 2 wires pictured are the rear o2 sensor?

I spliced in the o2 sensor, since the 4 has a non heated o2. I still haven't found where those 2 wires goes, if they go to rear o2 sensor then I need not worry because I don't use it.
The engine now starts up but the starter does not disengage at all. Relay maybe? Starter is rebuilt with less than 500km on it.

Also, it stalls out maybe 2 secs after fully started. It starts up fine but chokes out. Engine sounds good, no misfire. Maybe idle air?

Any help is much appreciated.

Both water temps are hooked up. The front o2 sensor is spliced in, I just didn't use the 2 heater wires.
The stalling is something with idle air.

You running the 6 or 4 ecu ?
Perhaps the 2 wired need to be wired in for the ecu to read the co2 properly hence why it may not be idling properly.

4 ecu. The pinouts for all the mandatory stuff is fine.
