All i can suggest is, don't buy from someone who has little posts or doesn't include their location, also try and arrange your own corrier and arrange with the person your dealing with to pay whilst the courrier is there perhaps ?

i hope this gets sorted and everyone involved gets their stuff and it's just been a misunderstanding, as this is a decent forum and we haven't had any issues with previous buyers/sellers in the past that i know of to date..

Here's an idea might sound a bit silly but:

If the seller hasn't sold anything on here before,and isn't known to us, the buyer before sending payment, should request the seller to post a few pictures of the items and packaging with buyers name and address on the packaging ready for shipping, this could be done via pm of the buyer wished

this would not much bother for the seller a few minuites work.

And if someone went through this bother it would be highly unlikely that he is going to screw u lol

this is the first time ive seen this happen on here, but we have to give him the benifit of the doubt before passing judgement dont we

ive given the person loads of time to sort this out,everything this person does not add up.i only got a text back when i threated him with the police and bank but tomorrow i will be ringing them back to get my money.i emailed the courier firm and got nothing back but you cant tell me that the firm would not of got back to me after a long letter to them explaining whats happened

Just noticed all this what have I missed ? As far as parts go I have only dealt withe the traders on here and 2 members who were both spot on. New members r a bug bear but we can't tar them all with same brush I hope this gets sorted this is unusual for evoowners

Another forum I'm on makes you post a picture of the item with a bit of paper with your user name written on it.
A pain if you're breaking a car but let's face it. Breaking a car is a pain anyway.

Minimum post count and/or membership time help stop the opportunist scammer too.

No guaranteed way at the end of the day. It's a gamble

would you send parts out worth hundreds of pounds without payment first, i know i wouldnt.

i also find it a little hard to understand people sending money direct through banks without even seeing a picture of the item, UC that !!

Well if I was trying to sell something i would nt mind taking a few pics of the item and it's packaging

And I'm sure geof wouldn't mind taking a pic or 2

all adverts are with pics and details
once posted all tracking details supplied
all newbies have to of been on here for 90 days and hit a regular post pattern in that time

the 90 day post bit can easily be managed through the forum software
