petrol tank

hey there folks bit of a bad day the day got a leak on my evo 4 gsr fuel tank at the top sumwhere as only leaks if filled right up was wondering if any on here has a fuel tank for sale??

i had a minor leak long time ago. thought it was the tank but it was the filler pipe.
they get rusty & crack up.
replaced new & sorted.
you might want to have another look just to makesure'

this will 99% be the fuel filler pipe.... unfortunatly there nearly £150 from mitsubishi.

oh right thanks mr lancer and john just a quick thought though it was leaking from the n/s would it not be at the o/s if it was the filler pipe just a thought?

Thats a very good point. but i would imagine the petrol is running down the filler neck onto the tank and then dripping off the tank that way.

they best way to find out exactly where its leaking from is to get it on a ramp.. if your convinced its the tank i have one here for £50 collected

Im based in asford kent.. i can ship it to you but cost about £45 as i have to have it steam cleaned as its illegal to post containers that have had hazardous liquids in them with out having them steamed out

regards to your fuel leak just remove the back bottom seat take off the 2 covers and you will find the fuel pump and return pump just check the pipelines first

I am inclined to agree with what John has said. It is most likely the case indeed.
At the price he has offered it Rossy, it would be wise to snap it up. The checks that you will do on the inside of the car will not be worth carrying out in my opinion as you would be able to smell petrol from inside the car if any of those pipes were ruptured.
