Hello everyone!!

Not a current Evo owner but im looking at getting one fairly soon. I currently own a ST205 Celica that ive been working on for a couple of years. I have a budget of around £7k to get a evo, i know this woud of been asked 1000's of times but what do i need to look out for? Is there a buyers guide?

What would the best advice be? spend £7k on a cheaper/earlyer one or get the newest/earlyest/most sorted for the money? I dont mind doing work to it. Thanks for the warm welcom :razz:

they are good for doing donuts mine was bog standard a bit down on power maybe

I Found it sluggish compared to a standard Evo, but good fun

Just searcked Tullow drag racing on youtube and saw your Celica racing there. Got mine to 330bhp. what will a evo take before the internals need strenghning?

Depends on model Evo 4 is about 340ish

Evo 5 6 360ish

Evo 7 8 380

Evo 9 400

Gone from a top mount charge cooler to a front mount intercooler with 3" pipe work and clocked the turbo to get a sort straight route.

Taken the boost from 0.8 to 1.15bar

De-cat downpipe with through system

Blitz BOV

straight in take with gutted inner head lamp (direct cold air feed)

Apexi power fc

As well as all the other bits and bobs but thats ^^^^^ for the main power increase, puts out 255bhp standard (JDM model)

Yup mine was a Jdm

They should ve come with more than that standard
