I'd be tempted to re-wire the entire dash and forward section with an original loom.

I'm gonna be honest.... What the hell was you doing buying a car that doesn't go ?!?! :shock::shock: Lol did you test drive it at all ?

The ECU is either a black or silver box with shed loads of wires coming out of it, it should have like a name on it depends what ECU it is, I.E Mitisibushi, apexi, etc etc.
And should be around the passengers side foot well, or behind glovebox round that area.

That pipe off the solenoid, could be a boost pipe came off, but need pics or video to see really.

Where abouts are you? What part of the country you from? Cos maybe a member or trader on here could help you abit more.

lol, i know what a ecu looks like???? I have a scooby and a supra both mapped to the nads lol..... just want to know the location of this one :razz:

BY THE WAY PROBLEM OF STARTING AND RUNNING NOW SORTED wooooop wooooop, took it out to play about an hour ago and it works well....

Few more problems have emerged though through driving.... I have now noticeded a intermittent lolly pop stick in a bike wheel kind of sound coming from the sump/flywheel area.... this noise 100% goes when i dip the clutch or evenn rest my foot on the clutch.... :hm: wierd

Also the car will rev round to 6k then hesitate miss etc (but i have noticed that the downpipe that attaches directly to the turbo is blowing really badly this could cause this I imagine.

Also found that the car breaks very unevenly, has brembo conversion on front but snakes when braking..... then I noticed something :disgusted: drivers back wheel is toeing in at the front edge alot and when cornering the tyre catches the arch slightly........ just another day and another dollar oooh dear

Brake lines check maybe replace and new fluid. Noise that goes when dipping clutch hmmmmmmmnnnn not sure.

Tracking done hopefully corrects ur towing issue revs hesitant change the plugs I would say

ECU is on passenger side, if you take glove box door thiny off (2 screws) will be on your left hand side as you look at it, 2x 10mm bolts hold it to the body...

First up I took all the alarm harness and turbo timer out and reinsulated some wires that had been cut, this did not cure the problem...

Then I took the after market solenoid of some sort off in pic 1 previous pages... and plumbed the hoses to the FPR correctly... it tried its hardest to start but wouldn't it was popping and banging....

The above then brought me to the conclusion that there was no proper spark hense the banging... I was clutching at straws by this point so I reverted t basics, out came the spark plugs. They looked all black and sutted up so i cleaned them all up put them back in turned the key and VA VA VOOOOOM she start up first time and ran. I left it to gain its settings for idle, turned the lights on radio etc all worked fine.

Alternator now charging battery at 14.7 volts :razz:

-JUST NEED TO SORT THE TOE ON THE REAR DRIVERS WHEEL, catches going round corners.
-The rather annoying rattle from the clutch area
-blowing down pipe
-various oil leaks (need a sump gasket/seal, the 3 inner transfer box seals) any one no where i can get the sump seal that would be appreciative.

-- forgot to mention the rear wheel drivers side that has toe....it is really quite bad it looks to be about a inch maybe more in at the front of the wheel and the back out the same obviously :disgusted:

When you look from the top thats when you really see it. The other side is pefect to the wing and doesn't catch... could something be bent for it to be that much out

I would check the upper arm mount myself for any damage as these were a recall job by mitsi

You'll find that the mounting point that is recessed into the car brakes at the join point from the manufactureing process

the clutch noise could be cos you might have a twin plate, but it usually makes like a spinning metal sound not clicking.

I have had a look under the car to day with the wheel off and I have found that the bottom arm that goes toward the rear door and brakes lines run up it has a set of stoppers at the very end stopping this arm from moving left to right.

One stopper is missing and then other is worn I think this is what is causing the toe inwards.... I think????

I have been told today that there is a bolt on the suspension as standard to adjust the toe of the wheel is this true.. I was tols it was the very bottom arm bolt that has a special adjuster

thers 2 bolts on either side one adjusts toe (top one] other camber, your more than likely that when you go to adjust them at least one will strip it threads, there not that cheap either but i found ears motorsport stock them and usually deliver next day.........

can you be mor specific please.... there is only 1 bolt where i was looking earlier

cheers that is very helpful... Another question whilst on suspension, are evo 4's a hard ride on standard shocks and springs??? when driving i feel every little bang in the road, not like the impreza very smooth not as aggressive in the suspension

depends what type of set up you have, have you got coil overs?
