boost evo 6

Fitted a boost gauge to my evo 6 at the weekend, took it for a decent drive today. This was the highest reading of boost.....

This was in fifth gear at full chat in between 0.8 and 0.9 bar. Any advice as to why its this low. Car is standard apart from a full turbo back 3" system.

technitian at btr race prep where i had it serviced told me it should be around 1.1 1.2 bar standard

std is around 0.7 bar holding

It may peak over that and that is what you are seeing

the needle never goes above 1.0, the highest ive seen it go in any gear at any rev range is just over 0.9 bar

Yeah as said thats standard boost level.

Get her mapped and you can bring the boost up to 1.5 bar

Removing the grommet from the actuator line will help too

Booting it in 5th won't show you the full boost capability, a blast in 3rd will though

Standard boost is 1 bar it would fuel cut at 1.2 bar on a cold day.

It's only 1.2 bar on the later evo maybe 7 onwards def 8 on

Hi Jamie mine is fuel cutting at 1.4 bar on a warm day . Do you have any more info on why the car may fuel cut? Thanks
