how are you cleaning the covers mate?

gotta be very carefull if you sand blast, because the sand gets stuck in the alloy, and falls out when hot into the oil = bad things

sorry for the dellay in responding to your question,

i have a liquid solution that i use to strip the original coating off, this is what im trying to use on alloys but the dam stuff is so dear it wouldnt be worth my time as i wouldnt be makin any money lol, however it does strip the alloy back to bare metal,

its aluminium oxide granules i use which are the best at removing paint, i have done in the region of around 25 rocker covers without any sort of complaint, the only time shot blasting would be required is around the lettering on a rocker cover which can some times pickup alot of corosion over the years,

Could you post a pic of something in the titanium colour?

I would be interested, not sure when though.

Would there be a problem taking the rocker cover off and just leaving the car parked up with the head covered? This is what I would need to do.

Cheers
Matt
