Recommended evo specialists.

I will be looking to get some upgrades to my evo VI and will need the car set up to suit the mods. Just wanted to know who the best tuner is to use for the evo's. Preferably in scotland but will travel to get the best expertise.

I have had a look on the net but there are lots to choose from

Any advise or recommendations will be appreciated.

Cool where abouts are you mate. What mods do i need to make around 360 to 380bhp. (I have only ever tuned imprezas so am clueless at the moment with evo's)

I'm just 7 miles out of Aberdeen. A full 3" exhaust inc de-cat, induction kit, 1.5 bar boost and a remap should see you around the 350 mark. A stiffer actuator will also help hold boost to redline as the stock one tends to cause boost to tail off, but you can still see over 350 on the stock actuator so it's not a must have.

You can get a 3-port solenoid and have ECU based boost control instead of having to shell out for a boost controller. It can all be mapped in.

Not by a PC just now, but will link you to a 3-port solenoid once I get near one.

Excellent will i also need an uprated fuel pump. the car has a green cotton panel filter at the moment would this need changing for an induction kit (If so which one would you recommend?). I had a look on your website looks good, and not too far away i will be buying the mods in the next month or so and will then be looking for the map.
And just for ref Do you do any work to engines/cars (ie rebuilds etc).

Yes, an uprated Walbro 255lph fuel pump will also be needed, some people do the airbox mod and cut a hole in the top of the airbox to let more in. You could do that with your green cotton filter and air box or fit an induction kit. The main thing is to let it breath better. Go for a dry type filter like a K&N, A'Pexi, Blitz, etc. I personally run an A'Pexi.

Don't do engine rebuilds or work like that, just mapping services really. Just let me know when you want in done and I'll get you in.

As promised, you can buy a 3-port solenoid from R-Spec for £45 here.

Word of warning. DO NOT fit this without a remap. If you do and you hit full boost it will easy go over 2.0 bar which could mean your internals wont like being the the dark any more.

This is only to be fitted when being mapped.
