And so you should be chuffed Foxy!!! You did a fantastic job! ;)

I was well pleased when I refurbed my brakes myself rather than takin them some where to get powder coated.

Yeah really weird!!! lol.

As for Craig slagging your Evo, atleast yours is legal!!! He's still running about without a front reg plate

lol i never take anything to heart, it's all banter, that's what i like about the guys on here no one takes anything too seriously, we all take the p**s out of each other, but we mean no harm to each other. :)

Craig took enough crap off me when he's car was off the road so he's just seeking pay back lol, is he still driving around with no plate then? tut tut craig tut tut lol :D

Well I assume he still hasn't got a plate on.

Have you had your tracking and boost problem sorted out yet?

Haha that was my thoughts on spraying my wheels black too lol.

Palma I have a plate in the front of my car. Assumption is the mother of all f ups. I've met foxy a good few times now and some of the other guys at various events and there is a lot of banter that goes on, foxy gives as good as she gets me and poor Steveyb_evo3 got the rough end of it about having to get our cara towed around when they were off the road and I still go to bed and fall asleep naturally.

It's all a laugh

I've never done it before and had a weekend free so thought why not, i did over buy on some stuff but rather that then under buy and be short.

I never had any power tools, heat lamps or spray gun, just my hands, the sun, spray cans, and some good old sand paper.

It is much less hassle to pay someone to do it for you, but the satisfaction of doing it yourself far out weighs the thrill of having someone else do them, plus if i get stone chips or kerb them, then i know that i can re do it my self.

I'm no expert far from it, the more i practice the better the result, but this was my first attempt so i'm chuffed with it. :)

Fair play, does look like they have come out quite well too, but as for satisfaction of doing them yourself, for me it's more about just getting them done. lol

Like I said, I hate doing wheels, done several sets for myself & mates and it's always a pain, and you never get all the old paint off without hours of scrubbing & lots of nitromores, hence getting them shot blasted next time, for the sake of £80 it's worth my sanity, the actual painting I don't mind tho.

Did you actually take it back to bare metal, or just roughen up the paint on there already with stand paper and then spray it? I usually go back down to bare metal, and it's that part which is a nightmare.

Because the wheels were White before they were yellow it was easier to just take the top layer off the yellow first by rubbing it down, so it looked like a pale yellow, then spray a layer of paint on the wipe off whist wet cos it took the original colour White off with it then rub it down to bare metal.

But cos there were quite a few kerb marks they needed to be filled in before any spraying or rubbing down for an even finish :)

It is much less hassle if there's not so many layers of paint lol :)

Lol you would think something was up if I didn't give you stick for one thing or another, to be fair Lee bares the brunt of it though but he's just so easy to
wind up ;) just mention euro trash or custard and he takes the bait lol :)

The custard tut tut some things should just not be experimented with lol. It would be quite boring if we couldn't take the p lol.

Eurotrash? Does this refer to his resemblance to the presenter lol?

The whole custard thing is, well, very disturbing ;) you really wouldn't want to know lol. :)

Nah he don't look like the presenter, it's cos euro cars ( Audi, vw) etc like to have their roofs wrapped so I just give him a lil bit of stick for it :)

(I actually like his roof but don't tell him that ;))
