problem with evo colt reving

Right have everything on the colt finished now but when i rev it it goes up then down below idle and somtimes cuts out i have evoscan and there no faults showing up there is evo 8mr cams in it could they be causing it as it not mapped for them yet i wana have everthing sorted before i send it for mapping!it also has an evo7 ecu in it and i have used an evo5 loom but have switched over the few wires i need to make it work!(swap pins 32 and 34 around.Add pin 20 to the pin now at 32,Add pin 21 to the pin now at 34,Cut pin 87,move pin 8 to 22)could it be the map thats on the ecu as i dont now if it has a standard map on it at the min im new to all this evoscan and ecuflash stuff so dont know how to check it yet!i also have an aem wideband and it at 12/13 when car is warm at idle which i was told should be at 14.7?if ye need to now anything else just ask as would really like to sort this out soon as

What type of dump valve do you have fitted? I think that you can sometimes get this problem with vent to atmosphere valve. Altough i would of thought it would only be when coming off boost.
Have you set the idle speed? Should be able to find out how by doing a search on here.

no dumpvalve at all have the ports blocked
i set the idle speed by usin evo scan and turning sas actuator to active and seting the idle to 950 with the idle screw but still no joy

did you disconnect the battery after doing the idle, or did you do a base idle reset ?

Also log the stepper if you have one to make sure its working, if you its all fine up the steps at idle as this should hold the revs better, it wont be the cams causing the problem.

Someone I know had this when blocking all the ports ill txt him and ask what it was in the end he had an 8

yea i reset the ecu by putting the positive termal of the battery to the negitive!what you mean log the stepper?
