If you mean the garnish light on the boot lid then I can't explain which models have them and which dont.

Some 5/6's came with no garnish lights. Some 5/6's came with all red garnish light which like on my car they are fog lights. Some others are all red without the fog lights. Some are red with a clear top but without lights.

I wouldn't want to run a 6 engine to 400 bhp. Those figures are for MR and Evo 9 engines only as they have thicker rods. Earlier engines will require a rod job or a forged re-build :)

I hear lots of people saying this but theres loads of standard 6's running 400+ and have been for some time(mine included).I'm sure there will of been failures but how many ? And how many have failed at 300/350 ?
Im doing a robjob next on mine but would love to see how long it'd last with a gtx3071/205b etc.
Just don't want to waste a decent block, oil cooler etc :D

Rs comes without Ayc, electric windows, air con, electric mirrors or central locking. And no brembo brakes. Also has lightweight seats, a shorter ratio gearbox, a limited slip centre diff and a quicker steering rack.

The rs II is as above but comes with aircon and electric windows and central locking

The all red garnish lights are from an evo 4. The 5 & 6 ones have the clear bit at the top. The evo 4 lights are also more red than the evo 5 ones.

Evo 5

Evo 4

I've since gone back to the evo 5 ones :hm:

Ah but were your 4 lenses just reflectors or were they actual fog lights like mine are ?
And yes they are proper job with proper cut outs in the boot lid for the bulb etc to go through. :)

They had been modded to be fog lights but I didn't use them for that.

The main lights are actually a bit different behind the scenes and you have to tinker a bit to get the bulbs to fit.
I was going for a more red look but in the end I preferred the originals.

As for the cut outs in the boot. If you have garnish lights then you have the cutouts. They don't go on without the holes.
