Odd vibe ?

Evo 6 tme just had new rear diff and when it came back all was good but i have now got a vibe in 5th gear only under load its there like drivein on cats eyes very odd .

All other gears fine any ideas peeps ? Thanks

when you say vibe do you mean you got some sort of shaking in 5th gear ?
may i ask why you changed the diff & what was wrong with the old one ?
did you change the prop shaft with diff ?

its a tricky one. hope other members can help you out on this one'

Thats a good way of putting it does kinda shake but only in 5th , The diff seized up not long after i had it :mad: But was sorted with no probs :D just want this new prob sorted , also seems to have a oil leak from round the transfer box :confused: Prop not been changed

It may well be the prop shaft but that is very rare. If the dif was fitted recently like you say then the guy may have not bunged the transfer box properly as he would have had to drain and top it up in between the dif change but only if he went about the job the wrong way round.

My immediate thought would be that the dif you have had fitted is a blown one. Did you buy a used one or was it new???

Get back to me buddy and whatever you do buddy, do not drive the car.

Thanks for the heads up , its been done by cpp so think they know whats what but its not rite thats for sure

I have 2 use the car every day for work tho :( got it booked back in for end of the end of the month

Just hope its a easy fix tbh ! Iam in Swadlincote nr Burton on Trent matey

They should have bunged the transfer box for sure so that is something that is making me wonder what they are up to.

Do not drive it if possible, it will only make matters worse. Unless it was supplied by them, then it is ultimately their problem.
