What boost controller to bye

if you want cheap and reliable get a manual dawes device (ball and spring)

it doesn't have pretty lights but you can fit it yourself in about 10 mins and you wont need a mapper to set it up for you.

I'd say the best way is to swap the boost Solenoide for a 3 port one ! Cheap and easy !

You'll want to get the fueling checked by a mapper if upping the boost level cos you don't want you engine running lean ! I now have 4 melted pistons due to running lean

Thanks for that m8 i have a pinking sound when the engine is under slight load i was told to get a greddy boost control and get it set up. Just not to sure what way to go electronic or manul.

HKS EVC 5 or 6 are idiot proof, as well as the Gizmo ones

You had a pinking sound and was advised to get a boost controller :hm:
Pinking would indicate knock and engine problems so why fit a boost controller???????? :thinking:

i also say 3 port as you can control the boost over the rpm range and through the gears depending on the rom. mine holds over 2bar

Pinking is more of a fuelling problem not boost control. But it's a good idea is your going to get the car mapped then also up the boost a bit at the same time.

Fit a 3 port Solenoide mate and you won't go wrong. I'm running 500bhp using a 3 port

Gizmo controllers are rubbish. I've not seen one hold a constant boost level yet

Of and I brought a cheap boost controller off eBay 80 quid electric 3 port only goes to 1.5 but works well

Most tend to use the r-spec performance one. I do and its been trouble free
