Got a quote today to paint the bumper, replace the passenger wing (cracked),and paint both doors and the rear quarter (some idiot hit me in a car park and did a runner!!). £850.
I'm probably going to go for it. I did say that if it was near the £2k mark then I'd just sell the car as is, but that £850 would probably add about £4-500 onto the resale value and make it easier to sell it if I wanted to.
Just need to sell some bits now as I don't want to spunk most of my slush fund on it

Yeah. I got recommended them by a member on the MLR and from someone on the pug 106 forum (my daily driver). Could probably get cheaper but they seem to have a good rep and that goes a long way.

it works both ways as it can devalue a car if the buyer knows its been painted, doubts are raised as to why.

Just get the best job you can done on it and get reciepts from body shop, ask them to write on it what its for.

Ive had mine done twice now as I cant stand chips and dings ! both time reciepts state what for just for more evidence for the buyer

I've got a lot of pics of the damage.
The wing is a crack near the join at the front bumper and the doors are a parking ding with a little scuff going back to the rear wheel arch blister (not done by me!!)

The thing is though. If I get it painted then I'll probably keep it for quite a while as that's the only thing that bugs me about it. It's just a bit depressing looking at it with the dent in the door. I've touched up the scuffs so you can only see them from up real close but I want it done proper

I do polish it but in most pictures it comes up pink.
Saying that. I haven't cleaned it proper in about 5 weeks as I've been moving house and haven't had the energy. Need to get all the movers boxes out of the garage so I can keep it away from the pesky sun

same here i try to keep mine in the shade all the time but dificult with the sun moving all the time lol i bought a descent car cover for it but that is worse when its windy the cover blows about and rubs the paint of the corners of the car wing mirrors bumpers ect :disgusted:
