First mod

Today has been a good day after a call to cris at autotorque went down to see him got my dump valve. Also thanks to Tom for putting it on the car sounds nice. Just Gota get the rest done induction kit, turbo back exhaust, fuel pump, remap, vortex, mud flaps and fix the spoiler the laquer came off cause of the sunshine. Thanks autotorque

good one mate i tried dump valve on mine today car didnt agree with it so took it off :-(

i bet u the twisty roads around chipping norton are awesome for the evo.... used to do crazy speeds down those roads few years back lol

Yes the roads are proper nice to go for a drive after midnight I tell u what I was reading about dump valves and they can interfere with the idle speed and make your car stall but there is a certain technique to it. Have a read of the turbo smart website it says if your engine stalls or it doesnt free rev you need to increase the tension in the spring, to get a clearer picture or call cris at autotorque they put mine on and it is sound

i know what you mean there too!! i used to go to sixth form there and drive the back roads to hook norton and back everyday!!!

Lol yea soz about that, at the mo I drive my ex's 6 but hopefully fingers crossed I will have my 8 soon well I say soon it won't be till end of next year sort of time now

Mods on the 6 are blitz dump valve, yellow hks mushroom filter, 255 walboro fuel pump, re map, time attack spoiler, lexus style rear lights, de cat pipe, apexi exhaust, tinted windows, kenwood touch screen cd/DVD player with a shockingly shit sat nav, a fly 10" active sub, oh and some yellow wheels (rotas re furbed and sprayed )

Not much really compared to some of the guys on here, they have some mean beasts lol

Mean beasts now I like the sound of that lol, I would say you got some serious mods to then. So what sort of power you running? The wheels on your motor match your outfit then lol

Nice start to modifying. But increasing the tension doesn't mean it won't have a detrimental effect on something else Every reaction etc. It just means your DV will take more effort to open which can give a surge at certain RPM. I've got a filter and 3.2" exhaust on mine Makes a pretty bhp

I agree mate probably does take more effort but saying that I am getting the exhaust and induction kit along with the remap. Just need time currently got a hks panel filter so hopefully reduce some tension there but if you got any advice for me I'll be grateful I mean owned the car for along time, few years but just started modifying now as I'm getting bored of the 300bhp it's currently running.

ozy get a panel filter for time being like a hks one, de cat and a remap and a walbro fuel pump and you will see good results, you dont need to change down pipe or cat back exhaust yours are factory fit hks down pipe and factory fit super drager trust me leave those on for time being till you start getting over the 400bhp mark.

Already got hks panel filter gobs get the rest just want to search for all the mods abit expensive to get em all in one go but really want to get the exhaust as I want to make it sound beefy. Mine for some reason does not have the hks super dragger just standard exhaust system may be sum 1 changed it to keep the noise the down? Really like the blitz nur spec r.

i wouldnt get the blitz as it is restricted just after the decat you would be better getting the super drager as it makes enough noise and not o.t.t but its up to you and yes the nur spec does sound nice

I don't like the nur spec exhausts - I mean who in their right mind would make a 3" exhaust then bottle neck it to 2.5" at the most pertinent point!
