Gauges/Boost Controllers - Location,Location,Location!

Out of interest what gauges/controllers do you have and where have you located them?

I want to at some point tidy mine up (and maybe add one or two more gauges if necessary)

At the moment I have the AVC-R stuck on the ashtray in the centre console which renders the astray useless for my spare cahnge and impedes my cigarette lighter for my pratt nav!

The boost gauge is just stuck on the dash board in the corner near the tweeter.

I am actualy beginning to think I don't need the boost gauge as I can set up the AVC-R to show the same thing but digital.

As said above - I would ideally like it to all look tidy as if in in some way it looked like it came like it from the factory!

So maybe a customised dash with CD Player and boost controller in and maybe even squeezing the gauges in too.

I have 3 Defi gauges in a pod on top of my dash and my avcr is inside the glovebox

Well I have got the 3 gauge in the 2nd din above my stereo, I have a mbc at the moment but I would try putting the avcr under the stereo, buy another try to modify

I have seen a few custom 3 gauge mounts on the internet on a site which ships direct from Japan but they seem very expensive (Nengun site).

Did you fabricate yourself of buy one of these custom mounts?

didn't the evo ix MR come with some piano black inserts under the stereo with 3 dials already in it?

I saw a video on Youtube - 4mins 20in.

Wonder if I could get these and the housing from a breakers perhaps as an alternative?

yea your right, 3 miti gauges fitted in flat panel below radio.
1.5bar boost, a oil temp gauge and a volts gauge

They look ok but only show 1.5 bar of boost so if you are going to up the power pretty useless really

Im also having the same issue , I have a coltspeed c/f stereo and gauge surround in my car , the gauges are currently in the a-pillar but im debating on what to do as I want defi gauges eventually .

I currently have boost,oil temp,oil pressure from r-spec , which will all be moved to the coltspeed but I also want a exhaust temp, a/f and maybe a voltage but do I keep the a-pillar or go for somewhere else if so where ?

Im having my AVCR fitted next week and im unsure where to fit that as I have a CF surround and cf ashtray and dont want it on there either LOL so glove box was only option or up by the sun visor.

but worried if in Glove box it will get hit by ipod for stereo or by sunvisor its on display and tempting a window smash for a AVCR .....

I think glove box is best and possible have a metal hanging bracket fabricated to keep it in place and protected.

I think it will sit just above the ashtray on the bottom of the console but agin will need something fabricated to fit it in.

I've yet to move mine around
