Trying new technique on doors

Well as some of you know I like to be different, so was having a little play the other night, seeing what it would look like with see through doors. Same technique that is used on engine bay shots, but tried out on doors.
Thought some of them came out alright !!
Whats the thoughts?

Based on this technique

Gonna try the same idea with the boot and when time permits, the wheels. I think the wheels done this way exposing the brakes, calipers and struts will be cool !! and if I get more time can even give the car a levitating look with no wheels on, exposing all brake discs. Will require a few merged photos, but think it will look sweet.

The idea of being able to see the brakes but I won't be taking my rear diff out for you to do see through shots of it lol

I like the effects mate I have been trying to get my head around photoshop but it always looks cartoony

I've always dabbled in photoshop but can never get the looks I want.

I love the engine bay shots people do.

I am less than convinced about the door shots however I do like the first photo.

Being ultra critical I'm not sure the others work as well as the first shot as too much of the door removed and made me think just show a picture with the door open! Sorry.

The first one works really well as it follows the contours of the dashboard and is a nice balance between showing the interior and exterior of the car at the same time.

Keep it up though mate, I love these type of pictures and seeing what people with PS skills can create

I like image 1 & 8, it's a case of messing about to get the right look and balance but I thought those 2 looked the best.

Might be able to utilise our models in some shots too:whistling:, but will discuss with them at Japfest on Sat when I see them

Photoshop just takes practice to get right, I use photoshop elements which is the lightweight version and does what I need. Lots of guidelines on youtube.

More to follow when I get time and have a chat with the models

Rib cages, skulls, hip bones? I can feel a terminator type mash up coming on. Robotic models
