Exhaust options?

I am thinking about doing changing my exhaust. At the moment i have the standard super dragger. It is a bit quiet for my liking though.

So i was thinking about getting a decat and downpipe to give it better acoustics. Is that a good idea? or will i be better off just buying a non-res cat back?...Not looking at changing it fully from turbo back as i do not want it tooo loud. just a bit more fruity then it is now

Greddy Ti-R titanium exhaust if you can get hold of one, but they ain't cheap. lol Depends how loud you want it, the super dragger will be loud on boost with a de-cat, but not so much when pottering about.

If you just want loud and don't mind being deafened then the Blitz Nur Spec R is a good choice. Change of downpipe will not really affect noise TBH, but will make the system more free flowing so the car can breath easier.

hmmm so looks like a change of cat back and a decat will be the best option...Not looking for more power yet just something to put the neighbours on notice

An 8...I was looking at a cat back from cobra or scorpion but i am guessing the ones you have been mentioned above are the more popular ones?

cool thanks. Yeah blitz are popular. I think they do two, one louder than the other? Scorpion I've heard of, mite be getting one of there down pipe's. I think jap speed do some at good price's! Don't think there manifold are any good but not heard a bad word about they exhaust's. Or 2nd hand try jap performance spare's. Hope this help's p.s maybe there a spec and spec rr??

I know, I want one for my 5, but finding one is like rocking horse poo, or they come up when I am skint!! Could get one from a 7/8/9 and get a bodyshop to modify my rear lip and fill in the gap left by the old exhaust, but that's a lot of money and effort for just an exhaust.

dont buy anything by scorpion cos they dont fit properly !!!

mate of mine bought the front pipe for his evo v and had to wedge a exhaust rubber between the pipe and the floor to stop it knocking. tried everything but no other solution :wtf:

I have bought a Cat back exhaust. It is a cobra race cat back After hearing a couple of you tube clips and one on my mates Evo 7 I had to have one. It is very loud but at least this way the neighbours have 5 minutes notice of my arrival so they can get the ear plugs ready

A litte off topic but does anyone know how to get a new subscription for the RAC Trackster tracker in the Evo? i have googled it but i have found nowhere that it can be done. Unless i am missing something i was under the impression the Evo came with a tracker as standard that just needed activating if chose to do so.:S
