hi guys haven`t been on in ages finally getting my 6 sorted, i`m buying an evo7 engine next week hope to be on the road by the weekend.

good to hear mate.bet its good to be back! The 7 engine is as strong as a 6 engine so your ok there. Is it in the car yet? Or soon?

No it's not, it's the engine that throws rods the most.
yeah so people say? But loads of 5's and 6's throw rod's so. . . . i thought there's a thread that said's there the same:confused: mite be over the road. 8 and 9's are a bit chunkyer were it bolt's to the crank?

its late evo 7's onward that have the better rod's. Check out my old thread evo 8 and 9 piston's. Spooner's put a good link in there. Which i'll read again try and work it out once and for all lol :)

guys i think this guy sold me a 6 engine i`m not sure as i`m not fimiliar with all the engine codes and as it was over 400 mile round trip i just wanted to get home i found a list on here but i couldn`t find a match for whats stamped on the engine and cant remember what the sequence of numbers and letters where off the top of my head.

Damn, that's no good if it has a T in it!! Hope you can get it sorted and also hope it hasn't got a T in it

Sometimes an I can look like a T and vice versa.

Who sold you this IV engine under the pretence that it was in fact a VII engine???
