by the sounds of it is almost as good as claying if it was badly contaminated you would need to clay aftwer

Believe me you don't need to clay
Imagine the pores on the paintwork filled with whatever crap, Iron x drags it out Now when you clay all you are doing is picking up crap which lies on the surface and your not even cleaning the pores whereas the Iron x does both

i ve noticed washing it that there is dirt bonded to it take for an example a mark from an oily hand on the bonnet no matter how hard i scrub it with a sponge it wont come off and its the same all over bits of dirt stuck on it dust etc its not long since i clayed it

is it time to get somebody to compound it?

Claying removes contaminates it doesn't prevent them you need to have your bodywork polished then waxed or sealed

try meg's paint cleaner mate got every mark off my car! Easy to get hold of to.
