Knocking... Again

Well.... After the warranty company payin up and replacing the o/s/f lower arm, strut and top mount curing the knocking noise from that side it appeared to start banging on the n/s/f after having the car looked at by a few people not finding anything I decided to change the top mount, this seems to have dulled the noise but it's still ther, any help please???

Haha sorry missed some details, it's an Evo 8 260. Standard suspension, mainly when slow moving on and off the drive or over speed bumps

If replacing the parts for the other side and it cured the problem. Then surely replacing the parts on the n/s/f should cure that too

It is when I'm turning left, it seems to get louder the longer iv been driving the car that's why I'm in 2 minds wether to change all the parts on that side, although it did fix the other side, sick to death of this car now. Rant over lol

mine was doing this so i replaced the cv joint for £60.... job done.

Knocking could be any suspension part. If its doing it only when you turn then check Diff bolts (£10)

were shall i start the clutch just done flywheel got today gear box need brakes and discs need plus mods which i didnt need but its a must lol i aint looking forward for the labour bill tomorrow :hm:

I heard something about the diff bolts, but which ones are they?? It had a transfer box put in about 3 month ago so wonder if anything is loose ther? It really is thesame sound as why was on the other side but I don't know why it would get louder when it's hotter, checked all ball joints, track rods bushes etc and no play to be felt

mine is doing this on my 260 changed the top mount on the os/f but its doing it on the n/s so might have to change that. i think later in the year ill buy new top mounts, bilstein shocks and sort my rear brakes out that ive been putting off, they just need adjustment thats all.

Mark- should do some of it urself it's a good laugh if you can be bothered or have the space, iv just had enough of mine like, didn't even have this much trouble with me stupid Subaru lol.

Gaz that's exactly what mine did and the top mount hasn't cured it, I'm gonna just order a lower arm and new shocker tomorrow and get some grease in the cv boot, if that doesn't cure it I'm locking it in the garage and leaving it lol

lol ill do mine at some point but cant be arsed ill do mine after the show and might get it up on jays lift and do it
