Hello to all mitsubishi owners, i was woundering before i spent alot of money for me, weather i am getting the correct advise. i have owned a FQ300 for a month, it is completly standard with20,000 on clock, the mods ive done sofar is an HKS filter, HKS dump valve, and blew £3500 on tein suspension with edf controller. my point is i am bored, its not delivering the smiles i hoped, my accord type r is a better driver car at mo, i would like 370-80bhp, and 390-400 ftlbs of touque. my local tuner is courten miller, they want me to buy a miltec exaust system, new fuel pump, probably new plugs. they will use the prodrive software to remap on the rolling road. is the the best and most reliable way to go, will the car stand it. Also buckled my front brakes yesturday, had trouble finding brembos, so i bought Performance Friction 2 piece floating discs and frodo pads £950 was i ripped off!!!? Thankyou

sorry trying to get used to how this forum business works, hello i am a farmers son, from strubby lincolnshire, i just spend all my life working, eating and sleeping. my buzz in life is fast backroad driving at night. my first car when i was 17 was a polo gti, then golf gti mk4, then civic type r, then accord type R, then focus st3, and a month ago purchased Evo8 FQ300, but have kept the accord typer as is best car i have ever had, cant let it go, thankyou if u reply to top part.

welcome firstly

nice list of previous cars esp type r ftw,

ill be honest when i first drove my evo i had trouble being convinced by the handling compared to the ep3 as the ep3 felt more together and tight, but as i learned the car more and became braver in the corners i realised what the evo was all about with the acd.

as for mods your tuner seem to have the idea of what to do first of all as a controller, gauges, fuel pump and decat are a must and with those and a good map you should be able to acheive around the 360-70 mrk which is pretty good for first map thats when your thrills will come if your not getting them at the moment, get the pops and bangs on it too so much fun lolz

now then chap, thanks for getting back, understand what your saying but what is ep3? must have been 3 weeks since i posted and im getting more and more confident with cornering, my type r feels so tight and does not move, but the evo is quite loose, but im getting used to it. throw the back end out, boot, and it just follows where the front wheels pointing. completely different to drive, its just trusting it
