if i change my track/tie rod end ball joint on my evo 8 will i need to get my tracking reset?

thanks

You can keep it where it is if you measure/count the turns but its always advisable to get it checked out anyway mate. Most places offer a free check so no money lost if its all ok.

not necessarily, if the other one doesnt have any free play in it then i wouldnt bother mate. No harm in changing both should you feel like it though.

thing that gets me is it was a recommendation when my MOT was done in Jan
but it says Offside( which is the drivers) but i can feel the movement in the near side(passenger) wheel,
when i pull/wriggle the wheel i can feel the movement, so hope it is the track rod end,
i think the dude just got the sides wrong, as he said the nearside wheel bearing aswell but when im driving i think its the offside
