well you can see as you put your foot down (TPS) as it comes on boost 3-3.5k lambda lean well out up to some cases 18-19 afr

Can't see the log at moment but the fuel map from the rom looks std!! If its leaning out that far when it comes on boost...either shagged lambda or possibly cracked manifold or leaking gasket at elbow. Possibly sucking air in....

Well there's no denying that buddy.

Something we both suspected before hand too.

I did some digging as the kid told me that Power Station had carried out some work recently.

I gave Rich a shout on his mobile and he confirmed that the car came in for a Dyno Run and was running like a shed so they uprated the Fuel Pump and checked the Fuelling which was spot on once the changeover was made but the car failed to Dyno as the clutch was knackered

I think they never paid any attention to the Dif LOL!!!

Rich is always spot on and Supervised the job so it has to be down to the exhaust which the kid said he did not want changed when he brought the car in originally.

I called the kid after I left your place and all will go as planned for the weekend!

I would say that your observations are spot on Rob!

I am impressed!!!

I suspected that the Lambda was giving false readings and the fact that the exhaust is blowing in a couple of places does not help in any way at all.

I see 19's in some places in the log @ 4000 RPM, if it was that bad the car would have misfired. I was in a car that was bucking & jerking @ 3000 RPM, half throttle, and 16 AFR!

If the car pulls well then I would say the wideband sensor is dead or there is one hell of an exhaust leak.

A tiny bit of blowing would not cause it to be that far off. Nice easy way to check your wideband sensor....

Turn on your widband and get it all warmed up, calibrated, etc. Then spray a rag with brake cleaner, and cover the sensor in it. A good working sensor will just go off the scale rich and hold that reading until the rag is removed. Knackared sensor will go full rich, then full lean, even though the rag soaked in brake cleaner is still applied.

Oh, and that's a bog standard fuel & timing map. Looks like it's from an Evo 5 or 6 ECU.

Yes HermaN it is a VI!

The car was up on the Ramp this afternoon and the Flexi Section has deteriorated badly.

The De-Cat Section was held in place with just one bolt at each end and had been Gasket Pasted over to keep it in place!!! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

It was indeed misfiring and the kid who owns it thought it had Pops and Bangs Mapped in!!! :wtf:

The car is running fine now that the replacement components have been fitted.
