Aggreed to purchase some last bits for my new build.... and finally get a pm back saying they've had an offer of more money for the items I agreed to purchase So now I loose out .....

From a 'Paid' member too ...... I see the system is working then. Bloody good job I hadn't sent any money yet or I might not be getting it back...

Wasn't even asked if I wanted to up my offer, just got told I couldn't have the parts

Good for you mate. A bit of integrity to be had, if you agree a price and make a deal you stick with it even if someone comes in a day later to offer more money.

Msg back after telling them 'thx for nothing' was 'You can't blame me for wanting more money' (simplified)

I'd have said if a 'buyer' don't reply within 3-5 days and you get another offer then sell on... but when you have the 'buyer' waiting for the 'seller' to reply and get a msg sorry sold to a higher bidder after agreeing a deal :twisted:

Not bad condition bloke had it up for £65 so told him they are about that new so he removed the price and put offers so I offered £35 via pm but no response even though he kept bumping the advert so I pm again but still nothing so after another bump a posted on thread saying my offer still stands which I think a couple weeks had passed by at this point but still nothing so I pm again and he replied on thread saying something along the lines of "waiting for better offer" WTF why not say know then funny thing happened. Someone posted on the thread offering the same £35 so I replied, ha ha good luck lol

Tbh, if your going to do track days and such, the money you'll save is worth it, plus the trader discounts.. Ive also saved, and made a fair few bob through the for sale section due to the amount of traffic that goes through there.. But if your not going to be 'active' then there isnt much point imo..
