idle valve also needs to be set in conjuction with the throttle plate screw.

baileys do the twin piston which work fine on evos,

....actualy took one off my 6 when I bought it, bit too whooshy for my liking.

It was based on the fact he said it was idling ok :p

yeah, but if you up the idle via the bis screw to 1000rpm, yet the ecu is still trying to target 850rpm at juctions, gear changes etc

I upped the throttle cable screw screw so it idled higher at 1000rpm. The idle control valve still idles at 850 when I set it using evoscan to activate the actuator ....

That is a valid point Mark and something that I very rarely bother with myself as you are just causing an anomaly of sorts.

if the two go too far out it will throw the engine light (is that when you remove the bulb lol jk;))

I parked the idle stepper using evoscan. Got it idled at 850 when warm. Then upped the idle rpm via the throttle cable screw to 1000rpm. Car now idles at 1000rpm when warm, no stalling issues. And when you use evoscan to park the stepper it reads 850....

obviously working fine for you then mate, suppose the valve is still working within scope.
