best air filter for the Evo 4?

what other mods are you running mark also did you get your management light sorted out ? my dads E4 has a ARC air box seems to be good HKS mushroom filters are often found on alot of evos tho

the one in my 4 is a top sercret japanese one the battery is relocated and its beside the wing and in a square box.. soon as the turbo starts spoolin u can really here it pullin in the air iv bein ask few times by local evo heads wat turbo kit is in the car cause of the noise put tats all standard. id go for sumtin like tat anyway

The only Mods to the car is a Greddy exhaust system, the HKS filter and a crappy baileys dump valve, which sounds awful.

someone has let me borrow a blitz dump valve, looks wierd and has what looks like an oil breather on it???

ive bidded on a HKS SSQV BOV but lost the bidding, and have just recieved a second chance offer. not sure if i should go for it though.

As for the EML no not yet sorted, but 6 people have said it'll be the crank sensor so ive got one on order which should come tomorrow, so hopefully by the weekend i'll be back on the road.

just done a paper clip diagnosis, found out its not the crank shaft one its the cam sensor, just wasted £100 straight up.

Stick it on ebay (you should get most of your cash back) or keep it as a spare.

i know its a 100 gone but least the crank is good cause in most cases wen the crank shft sensor goes its due 2 movement in the crank tat breaks the sensor. tis all happened 2 me not so long ago.. the blitz dumpvalves hav tat little filter on it alrite i tink is for the noise it makes i had 1 in my car they sound cool but i prefered the hks 1 all 2 their own..

Cam sensor fitted today and Blitz dump valve fitted too, took it out for a blast sounds pretty good, better then the baileys one. feels good to be back on the road.

Hi Mark, What you want to do is re-locate the battery to the boot and add a HKS mushroom, loose the dump valve and get a Forge re-circulating dump valve, this will give you more performance and you will here it doosh (standard ones dont doosh) trust me, if its performance you want then i challenge any pro to prove me wrong.

Hi El, ive decided to keep the HKS Element filter that come with the car when i brought it.

At the moment i'm sorting out the looks so far, 17'' gun metal grey Superturismo Evo 6 Alloys (need tyres though) and Evo 7 Brembo calipers(still waiting for them to be posted) looking at a braided hose kit aswell. not forgetting the Brake Disc either. As i brought the calipers 2nd hand from E-bay with OMP pads.

Hi El, its always something i'll consider but in the mean time i think getting the car sorted for its mot is more important, my standard 16'' tyres are quite bold and will fail the mot, but im not prepared to fork out on new tyres for them when im doing a brake upgrade.

I can get 4 nankang tyres for just under £200 from camskill and £20 fitted from a 'friend'

I am sure I remember you mentioning something about those tyres before.

Nankang are good but they are really budget tyres and the price you are getting them at is normal.
See if you can find toyoproxes on ebay with a best offer listing.
