Hm, I tried that with my S205 on my VII but turned it back down to 2:00. I felt that the car boosted better in the lower gears.

Tbh it's better to get timing in than boost

yea true. the car just felt stronger right through the rev range at 2 bar cos it held the boost right through to red line and still made 2 bar even from second gear right up through the box.
but at 2.2 it struggled to make the boost level in lower gears and all the power was in one big dump the it would all be over too quick.
car just seemed to have more power for more of the time instead of it just being in one big bang then tail off.
