Plugs and plug gaps

Just wanted to no the best plugs to use in my 8? Would it be the bpr8es?? And what would be the best plug gap? It's running 2.2 bar

first time i used them so dont no yet and they aint been in long.

besides at £10 a set it dont matter how long they last cos the iridiums i used in my VII i think were £40 a set :shock:

prob only done about 500 miles so far, bloke in the shop did say he had used them in an evo but didnt get so many miles out of a tank of fuel. ive given up watching that these days, at my power level things like that dont really matter lol

I always use Iridium plugs either BPR8EIX or BPR7EIX with non Iridium plugs I have always found them to blow the spark out.

I use the bpr8es also and have found no probs with them, and as mentioned they are cheap I change mine every 4 months (could probably go longer) as for the price can't go wrong and I know that you can buy 1 set of iridiums for 4 sets of the others but I like to have fresh plugs in

and i'm doing 444bhp, but if you start to blow the spark out then it might also be worth checking your coilpacks and leads,

regarding gap, I'd set the biggest gap you can get away with without missfires but running that boost (depending on coils) your probably looking at about .5

mine are gapped at 0.57 and I run 2 bar with no probs

As stated by Sponners, .5 is about the best you can get to.

They are good for around 600 BHP and for the price, who really cares if they only last for around 3 to 4 months.

I have fitted them in around 4 high powered Evo's with no issues or come backs.

Iridiums are better, there is no doubting that fact but hey, why pay the extra???

I know you already said that it is runing fine Lee but it might run that little bit better at .5 if you're willing to try it out!
