Mileage Question?

As i research about evo's, i have realised its a high maintenance car. Apart from the 4500 or 6 month service at what intervals do i need major services or does it get covered in the 4500 service? what sort of costs am i looking at?

what sort of miles can i expect from an evo's lifetime?

at moment heart set on an evo 7. i will keep this car for long time, so am looking for low mileage car. what sort of mileage should i be looking for? or at what point will the mileage be high for a 7? most probably i will get a standard version and personalise it myself with mods.

Also whats your advice regarding imports or shall i just be looking for uk models? pros and cons if any please, thanks. Also is there a price difference in insurance between the two?

22,500 Mile Service - £149
27,000 Mile Service - £189
31,500 Mile Service - £149
36,000 Mile Service - £299 or £329 with replacement Panel Filter (HKS)
40,500 Mile Service - £149
45,000 Mile Service - £499 + Plugs (there is a choice on these)

Mate if you keep posting like that then you are gonna do us out of a job lol

With regards mileage my standard 7 engine was pulled apart with around 50,000 miles on the clock and cos it had been looked after it was all still like new

I'm not sure on the service plan but it's 45,000 miles is the major service when all belts are done

The others are just oil changes

And I'm on my second import so no worries and besides even the uk cars still come from japan so it's not like they are made with different parts

No worries as for insurance I don't think there is much difference if any for imports as after all they all started as imports. As for mileage I would say the same as any other car if you don't look after it and abuse it it won't last long, but have it serviced at the correct intervals by an evo specialist and drive it sypatheticaly (most of the time for legal reasons lol) You will have many years of joyous motoring

I don't really find the servicing cost's much worse than other cars, they just become expensive when things break, oh and fuel, now that would bring a tear to a glass eye
