i guess you can just paint it aslong as you use high temp paint. and the usual, sand down, grease remover, mask off parts you dont want sprayed.... you shouldnt need a primer either with high temp paint, but if you do use a primer, make sure that is high temp too!!

im sure someone will be on the confirm this.

i would go for high temp paint if funds are low if not powder coat it, u'll get a smoother finish

Ordinary motorpaint in a can will do you butty. No need for vht paint on rocker cover after all they don't airbrush rockercovers in vht paint.

yea i would, now ive had my grubby hands on mine a few times it needs a good scrub but if i had laqured it then the dirt would just wipe off :)

As lee says it's easier to clean plus it won't show accidental marks as much and it will give more depth to the finish:)What colour do you intend painting it? if it's mettalic then you have to use laquer otherwise it will be like rubbing your hands across sandpaper:(

It's a rubber one as is the grommet at the back where the breather goes in but this one can go hard and break when you try get it out so be careful with that one.
Also go careful with the plug leads as normal cos the metal inside can come out
