im the type of person though that wouldn sacrafice the performance of an evo unless the deal was workin out very well in my favour

like i swapped my evo 4 for euro r then swapped euro r for my mint evo 5

thing is im paying 1800 on ins for the evo it only gets used twice a week and also costs a fortune in fuel

with this i could use it to visit people all over the country and not have to think its gona cost me a bomb in fuel plus ins 300 a year with kit car insurance

winner all round also looks like a ferrari an i rekon id get 10k for it once bonnets been sorted

i have a 3rd party extension on my policy on my1.3 96 corolla which covers me on any car as long as the car isnt in my name and it is taxed and tested

only problem is if it was vandalised or burnt or if i wrote it off it would be my loss

but if i wanted i could insure my mother on it for cheap

would you not consider something like this?

i had an evo 5 petrol bombed last year mate so it doubled this year and lost all my claims otherwise id probably keep the evo but cant keep paying those prices on ins plus they are saying that its likely to go up more next year as insurance has gone up across the board

You'd need to spend alot of money to get a turbo with external wastgate in order to do that but then the turbo would be so big you'd have to wait a year for it to build boost by which time the mr2 will have ran out of rpm lol

I agree with Nick on this one.

I have come across quite a few over the years and I honestly don't see the point of having a replica even if it is the GT-S which is anywhere between 220 to 270 BHP.

They just can't keep up, unless the internals have had some serious money thrown at them.

This one is an NA which means it will be a hell of a lot slower and nothing can be done to make it sound like a real Ferrari unless a considerable amount of money is thrown at it.

The only thing it has going for it Steve is that it will be cheaper on the pocket to run.

I know that is why you are considering the deal but there are better cars out there that are more economical and owned by people that would offer them up quite easily if you were to throw your Evo into the deal!
