hey guys im new to the evo scene. I have a few questions i need solved before i got buy an evo 4. Im looking for an evo 4 for about 3k-4k if possible. I have noticed that u a member has had a lpg conversion which i think is a great idea as i dont earn lots of money so need to keep running cost as low as possible. Does anyone know the normal running cost a month or yewar for a evo and any info about lpg would be great for example a price cos i read it needs uprated to run above 200bhp. Any info will be much apprieciated.
Thanks

Welcome!
Running costs are a difficult one. You need to work out your mileage and then do the maths on 20mpg.
You will need a service every 4.5k - say £150 a go.
Tyres and brakes and clutch occasionally.
Insurance and other parts.
They aint cheap. I would expect to spend £4k easily without insurance for 10k miles.

I have no idea on the lpg though...

If your looking for cheap running cost I fear an evo isnt for you.

I have a evo4 & so far i have spent £9500 this year on getting it up & running. so if ur thinking of running cost & mpg then the evo is not for you

i wouldnt be doing lots of miles as i have a car for commuting to and from work and where ever i need to go it would just be for weekend fun after a long weeks work for the nice weather and a bit of fun. Wouldnt be a daaily driver.

As said, any Evo will need servicing every 6 months or 4500miles, which ever comes first, and depending on which service is needed the price ranges between £150-£500

If you run a normal petrol Evo, you can get 25 mpg, but if you give it beans youll get 9 mpg ;)

So if its just for fun on the weekend you dont need to invest all that money on LPG. £1500 can buy a lot of petrol!

it all depends on way you drive it and what mods are done a remap will also help out but if you are worried about the running cost then a high performance jap car isnt the way to go.
