Anyone want to play a game of guess the price!?

So..... Quite possibly going to be buying an evo in the very near future but it's hard to know/compare prices when there's not always something near enough to compare it to! I will give a brief description of what exactly I will be buying and I'd be most interested and appreciative of people's guesstimates please. If you could reply with a price you think is fair and realistic and feel free to add any comments.

So here it is.....

1999 Evo 6 GSR Ralliart (in silver) U.K not Import.
26,000 miles.
0 rust as far as can see.
Very minimal stone chips.
Only mod is the back box has been changed to a stainless steel one.
Did 19,000 miles with first owner from new, then with current owner (since 2001, so 15 years) has only done 7,000 miles, been kept on blocks, in a garage, under a cover, hooked up to a trickle charger for the battery.
Interior is pristine.
Taken out once in a blue moon for a run on a dry day.
Recently been serviced and cam belt changed.
Only run on higher grade unleaded.

I can personally vouch for all this as I will be buying within the family, hence the further awkwardness with price! So please feel free to ask any questions that may be relevant to price that I may have missed, and il do my best to answer. Thanks in advance for any/all replies

A reply! thanks ;-) these seem to be in short supply on this forum judging by the other posts.... where are all the evo owners!?

Is that an educated guess or more of a punt? anything remotely similar on ebay and auto trader which have more like 70k+ mileage are advertised around that price. They have rust and have nearly all been modified in one way or another.

well what were you thinking yourself.. its only as much as what some1 is willing to pay for it.. as for this forum being slow.. im on another couple of evo forums and its pretty much the same.. Not sure why that is.. The time of year or has the evo scene went in decline?

So having discussed price in more detail, the car was valued 4 years ago at £10k. They want £11k for it and believe it will go up in value or at the very least i wont loose money.... what are your thoughts on those figures and beliefs?

I am intent on buying provided price is right so should be one more petson to add to the evo scene!

Very strong ££ for the car. I take it you are going to buy it either way if you get advice or not? Are you on any other evo forums an asked advice etc etc?
I can't advise you on anything really. If you like the car and are intent on buying it there is no point in trying to sway u is there?

I will check these other forums out, which are they? I am set on getting it but i just dont want to pay over the odds. i wanted an idea of counter offer which wouldnt offend

In my opinion it doesn't sound out of the way price wise for a UK car with exceptionally low mileage, providing it's as good as you say it is. Only problem is being stood around not used for long periods, a lot of parts could be seized or perished. Make sure you re-commission it correctly or you could have problems.

I'm no expert, but I have just read your first post again and I see the belts have been done and it has been serviced, that goes a long way towards re-commissioning the car. Basically everything wants checking by a competent person, all the fluids want changing, including brake fluid and fuel. Brakes want stripping and cleaning and freeing off, all rubber parts want checking for perishing and lots of other jobs like that. But as I said get a competent person to do it, preferably someone who knows Evos.
