Oil recommendations here

I am happy to give advice here for those that need it.

i have just finished rebuilding an evo 6 engine with a std oil system and it will be getting mapped,hoping for 380hp-400hp figures. what oil do you recommend for a running in period (how long?) , And then what oil for thereafter>?

Millers CRO is ideal for the running in.

After that, I'd use a 5w-40

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul Sport/300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XF Longlife, Fuchs GT1 XTL/Supersyn, Gulf Formula G/ULE, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.
